This Week’s Craft Talk
Faith’s Lodge mission is to support parents and families coping with the death or a medically complex condition of a child in a peaceful environment to reflect on the past, renew strength for the present, and build hope for the future.
They do this by offering optional programming during the family stay at their lodge. Programming consists of professionally led discussion groups, therapeutic arts and crafts, mindfulness, yoga, and north woods adventures on their 80-acre site.
Faith’s Lodge has served over 7,000 families since 2007 as a nonprofit corporation. Donations are always welcome.
Faith’s Lodge has started a new outreach program, Hope Works Here. This is an opportunity for corporations to help their employees who suffer a loss and for the coworkers to learn how to be supportive. They do this through 1) Transition coaching for the employee returning to work, 2) a Certificate for a stay at Faith’s Lodge for the employee, and 3) Provide resources for the employer and co-workers to help their coworker affected by the loss.
