What’s New at Amway!

Early Birds: Early birds were Mark Arnold, Dick Anderson, and Robert Sandberg in that order for the 2 nd week in a row.

Guests: Mark Erickson, son of Jim Erickson, was a gust today.

Honorary Members: Tom Donnelly and Mark Simon were in attendance today

President Chuck Shreffler brought the meeting to order with a ring of the bell and a moment of silence. We were asked to think of Gary McDowell’s family and Jerry Olson and Kelsey Wolter Knight’s family.

Announcements:

  1. Jim Erickson will be conducting an election poll throughout 2020 on a periodic basis to see if various candidates change people’s minds.
  2. Kelsey Knight told us about her uncle (Jerry Olson’s brother) and her aunt being involved in a head on car crash in SD last week. Her uncle was killed in the accident and her aunt hospitalized with severe injuries.
  3. Chloe Czaplewski said Playworks is looking for Silent Auction donations for their annual fundraiser. She thanked members that have donated already.

Business Networking: None today

Business Exchange: Kelsey Knight started us off and was followed by Karen Holtmeier, Jim Christianson, Dwain Coleman, Mike Palm, Chloe Czaplewski, Jim Erickson, Don Thiets, Renata Faeth, and Ed Crandall. Really nice exchange today.

Table Introductions: Table #5 was introduced by Keith Kovacevick with a different question for each member at the table.

Pot of Gold: Russ Bremner was not attendance today after suffering through a table intro last week and a need to party away his Pot of Gold winnings. Ed Crandall drew in Russ’s place and Todd Anderson drove away with the Pot.

Craft Talk:

Mike Palm introduced Cathy Daluge (Tom Donnelly’s daughter) as our guest speaker of the day.

Cathy is married with 2 adult children and is affiliated with Amway and she gave us an update on what’s new at Amway.

Amway, short for American Way, is an $11B company made up of thousands ofentrepreneurs.

Amway was founded by Jay Van Andel and Jim DeVos in the 1960’s and their main product was Nutrilite, a multivitamin developed by Carl Rehnborg.

Today Amway sells over 450 products from 100+ vendors. They also have developed partner stores and services to broaden their appeal and help families pay less for essential items.
