President Chuck Shreffler brought the meeting to order with a ring of the bell and a moment of silence.
Announcements:
- February 26 we will have a joint meeting with the Ham n’ Eggs group. The guest speaker will be Peter Vodenka, Author, Speaker, Immigrant American “Journey to Freedom Revisited”. Invite some friends/associates.
- Mark Simon’s grandson is an young amateur actor and he recently won the “Best Male Actor in Minnesota” award beating out professional actors who were nominated. No word as to whether or not his acceptance speech referenced cows.
Business Networking: Insperity is looking for outside sales people. Houselift is still looking for a Sales/Design Consultant person. Continental Diamond is having a “Necklace Event” this week. LVC is also looking for staff: a Fire Extinguisher Tech, Sprinkler System estimator, and even a technician for their Rochester location.

Craft Talk:
Jim Christianson introduced Joe Kankovsky of Electronic Design.
Joe is a Nebraska native and graduated from the University of Nebraska/Omaha.
Joe is married to Patty and has one daughter and one granddaughter.
His career arc covered mainly sales positions with Grocery Wholesalers, Kellog, Central Telephone and Electronic Design that he joined in 2002.
In 2015, Joe bought Electronic Design which specializes in critical AV systems.
Electronic design supplies, builds, and maintains custom systems for distributing voice and video throughout a commercial business. Electronic Design was started in 1955. In 1969 they were the first company to sell a commercial phone system. Their signature project has been the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the paging system at the MSP airport. In 1986 they built a MNDOT Fiber network.
