Business Updates
Mike Palm is now on the Wayzata Rotary Board. Jim Erickson gave us an update on the expected state legislature special session and expects that we may have breakfast at the Edina Country Club on July 8 when he takes over as president. Neil Roers updated us on the PPP program, expenditures know have 24 weeks to occur vs the original 8 weeks.

Craft Talk
Todd Anderson of Carey Limo gave us chronological look at how he has coped and succeeded during the Covid-19 pandemic.
March 16, 2020 the corporate travel and limo service business about dropped to zero. Todd took a couple days to think about it and decided to layoff staff and sell limos to downsize that part of his business. Associated costs such as gas and insurance were also reduced.
Since then, his funeral business has grown as Todd and his staff are trained to do removals with PPE. They have a 24/7 answering service for many funeral parlors that has been doing well also. Funeral services are up 40% in May from April.
Todd had a lengthy Q and A session with the members.
We also talked about how travel is opening up and Todd expects that later this year airport runs will return to near normal levels.
