- Karen Holtmeier had attended the online memorial service for David Goodwyne and said it was very moving. Other club members had logged in as well.
- The winner of the contest “When will we meet in person again?” was Jerry Olson. He had guessed July 15.

Jon Peterson, Jim Erickson, and Chuck Shreffler were all sharing on recent mortgage experiences. Don Thiets and Jim Christianson also shared.
Craft Talk
Keith Kovacevick of Les Jones Roofing gave the craft talk. Les Jones Roofing has been a club member for close to 20 years and done work for a number of club members. Les Jones Roofing does all kinds of roofing and roof repair including asphalt shingles, flat roofs, cedar, copper, steel, and slate roofs. They also do gutters. And they service roofs as well with leak repairs and ice dam removals.
COVID-19 has had a significant impact on their business year to date. While they are a critical business and never closed, sales are down 40% YTD. New Construction roofing is going on as usual, but the re-roofing of asphalt roofs are down significantly. Lots of quoting going on, but buyers have been slow to make a purchase decision. There have also been delays in “big jobs” like townhome complexes and luxury homes as people are delaying expenses.
Looking ahead, Keith is hoping for a good 2nd half of the year as the economy rebounds and for sure 2021 will be a good year as well.
Keith took a lot of questions and discussed his company’s approach to outside sales throughout the pandemic.
