Craft Talk
Neil Roers of Midwest One Bank had the craft talk today. Neil started his banking career at WellsFargo, followed by BMO Harris, and Central Bank. Central Bank was acquired by Midwest One and that is how Neil ended up at the Eden Prairie Branch office.
Midwest One is a large regional bank that could do loans up to $20M, but their typical loan is in the $500k to $5M range. Their commercial lines cover a wide range of working capital, commercial real estate, lines of credit, SBA 7A loans, SBA 504-Owner Occupied Real estate loans, and much more.
Neil talked about how his bank has been involved in COVID-19 PPP lending and loan forgiveness. He also talked about how their loan portfolio is being monitored for its COVID-19 risk assessment. Restaurants, Hotels, and Strip Malls are particularly risky in today’s environment.
Neil also gave us insight into the current loans he is working on that cover a large gamut of businesses.
Neil is from Marshall, MN and is married to Karie and has 3 sons, Frank, Rex, and Eli. He farms, hunts, and fishes at his lake cabin in his spare time.
