Craft Talk:

Craft Speaker Randy Korn gave us an update on the remodeling industry in general and 30 year-old House Lift in particular.

Randy has owned House Lift for the last 17 years and they continue to offer high quality residential remodeling at competitive pricing. He gave us a slide show of projects including bathrooms, kitchens, additions, and 2nd story buildouts.

During the pandemic and riots, House Lift never closed as they are an essential business, but they were without phone service, internet, mail, and banking services and had a boarded-up storefront on Nicollet Ave for a time. Permitting processes at a number of cities have taken from a few days to months to get approvals.

In the remodeling industry material and labor costs are rising and workers are becoming in short supply. According to the industry group NARI, the average age of a carpenter is 57.

With rising home values, an investment in remodeling makes a lot of fiscal sense and will increase your enjoyment of your home life. Call Randy for a consultation.
