Robert David Shadley
Major General, U.S. Army (Retired)

Robert D. Shadley is a retired Army Major General and author of The
GAMe: Unraveling a Military Sex Scandal. During his leadership
career, he guided more than 3,500 military men and women in combat
and over 20,000 students in training. He retired from active duty in
2000, following a distinguished 33-year military career that included:

•Advisor to the Vietnamese Ordnance Corps in Viet Nam.
•Commander of the 801st Maintenance Battalion in the 101st Airborne Division (AASLT).
•Commander of the Division Support Command in the 1st Infantry Division (Mechanized)
during Operations DESERT SHIELD and DESERT STORM
•Director of Logistics for the United States Atlantic Command during OPERATION
UPHOLD Democracy in Haiti.
•Chief of Ordnance and Commanding General of the U.S. Army Ordnance Center and
Schools.
•Director of Logistics, U.S. Army Forces Command

Major General Shadley served in key leadership positions at Alliant Techsystems, Inc.
(ATK), including Senior Vice President, Force Protection, Advanced Weapons Division.
He also has served as a senior mentor providing logistics and leadership subject matter
expertise to the U. S. Army Combined Arms Support Command and the U. S. Army
Battle Command Training Program. Major General Shadley currently provides
acquisition and logistics advice to businesses in the defense sector.
He has been awarded the Distinguished Service Medal, the Defense Superior Service
Medal, the Legion of Merit with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Bronze Star Medal with Oak
Leaf Cluster, the Meritorious Service Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army
Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, and the Alabama Distinguished
Service Medal.

Shadley received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in industrial engineering from
Purdue University. He also holds a master’s of military art and science degree from the
United States Army Command and General Staff College. He is a graduate of the British
Royal Armour School and the U.S. Army War College.

One of Major General Shadley’s most heroic acts of his military career was exposing the
Military Sex GAMe at the U.S. Army Ordnance Center and School at Aberdeen Proving
Ground in Maryland, where he served as its Commanding General. As a result, the
GAMe was also found at multiple locations in the military.

Guests are invited to attend up to two meetings for free to determine if the club and their members are a good fit for them.The fee for membership in the Breakfast Club of Minneapolis is $99 per month and is due upon receipt of the monthly invoice. There is a one-time entry fee of $100.
